  1.     Vikram Sarabhai  was an Indian scientist and scholar of space research. He was born on 12 August 1919 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His father, Vikram Sarabhai, was a prominent activist of the Indian independence movement, who later became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. His mother, Saralaben, was also active in the field of Gandhian thinking and social reform.

 2.   Vikram Sarabhai received half of his education in English and half in Gujarati. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological Institute, Mumbai. Later, he received a Masters of Science degree from the University of Cambridge.
